the experience was absolutely amazing! the cottage was modern yet traditional and had a lovely decor with quirky ornaments. It was spotlessly clean, which I really appreciate. the highlight was definitely the private hot tub and garden, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Mourne Mountains and the sea. the cottage was also pet-friendly, which was perfect for our two dogs. the location was idyllic and conveniently close to forest walks. I can't wait to book again!
Nothing 🙌.

Wow, what an incredible Christmas experience! The view from our cottage was absolutely stunning - we could see the beautiful mountain range and even catch glimpses of the sparkling sea. The decor of the cottage was a perfect blend of modern and traditional, with charming little ornaments adding a quirky touch. The hot tub was definitely a highlight - we spent hours relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The cleanliness of the cottage exceeded our expectations, and we were pleasantly surprised to find bowls provided for our furry friend. The location was also fantastic, with Tullymore, Murlough Beach, Castlewellan. We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas getaway!
Honestly, there isn't much to complain about. The only minor issue we encountered was with the shower water pressure, which was a bit low.

We had the most incredible stay at Slievenisky Cottages. The views were breathtaking, with the Mournes and the sea in sight. The cottage itself was beautifully renovated and had everything we needed, from modern utilities to quirky ornaments. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, where we spent relaxing evenings enjoying the stunning surroundings. Our furry friend was also welcomed with open arms, as the cottage was completely pet-friendly. It was such a treat to have our own private garden and hot tub to enjoy, while our dogs had a safe place to play. The location was perfect too, with Tullymore, Murlough Beach, Castlewellan, and Newcastle all nearby for exploring. The cleanliness of the cottage was impeccable, and the provided bowls for our dog were a thoughtful touch. We also appreciated the entertainment options, like the big TV with streaming services and the provided games. Our weekend at Slievenisky Cottages was truly tranquil and we can't wait to return. Thank you for the lovely bottle of Prosecco and sweet treats, it was a wonderful touch. I highly recommend this gem of a place for a peaceful getaway.

The cottages were beautifully renovated and had all the amenities we needed. the hot tub was a fantastic addition and the views from the property were breathtaking. We also appreciated the pet-friendly atmosphere, as it was difficult to find suitable accommodations at such short notice.
There was no speaker available, which was a disappointment. the water pressure in the showers was quite low, which we understand may be due to the rural setting.

I recently stayed at The Cottages in a lovely location for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were helpful and the cottage had a perfect blend of modern and old-fashioned charm. Despite the terrible weather, we enjoyed cosying up by the fire and taking walks while watching cows. The facilities were great, the cottage spotless, and the views over the Mournes stunning. It was the perfect spot for a tranquil weekend and I will definitely be back.
Would recommend this hotel.

The accommodations were spotlessly clean and comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The owners were responsive and pleasant to deal with. The views from the property were absolutely breathtaking. Plus, the ease of access to nearby places of interest was a major plus. it was one of the best places I've stayed in years.
While the property was secure for pets, it would have been nice to have individual gates for each garden area. We had to improvise and pin our dog's lead into the grass to keep him secure.

The hot tub was a dream come true, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the incredible views. The cottage had all the modern amenities I needed, including a microwave for my late-night snacks. And the fireplace added a cozy touch to my stay.
Oh, how I loved struggling to light the logs without any sticks! It was such a joy to see building materials and ladders cluttering the backyard.

The cottage was exceptional, with stunning views of the mountains and the sea. It was beautifully decorated, balancing modernity with charming traditional touches. The cleanliness was spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus, perfect for relaxing and taking in the breathtaking scenery. The location was ideal, with nearby towns and attractions just a short drive away. The cottage provided all the amenities we needed, including a big TV with streaming services and games. The hosts were helpful and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
While there were very few negatives about our stay, it is worth mentioning that the patio door was sometimes difficult to close and lock/unlock. there was some mold in the wooden spatulas and cutlery drawer, which was a bit of a letdown.
